Bambu A1 Alien Facehugger Faceplate

Designing and replacing the stock faceplate from my Bambu A1 3D printer with something more interesting, based around the Alien universe.

John's PC

This was more of an art project than a perfect replica. I wanted to make something that told a story and held a bit of nostalgia for my friend, John. Modelled after his old computer tower this tiny model came with a display box and computer case badge.

Quake Keychain

Love Quake. I wanted to make a cool little keychain. Turns out this is a terrible thing to keep in your pocket, it snags on absolutely everything.

It was easy to make, I just used a SVG of the logo and then extruded and modified where I needed the hole. For the upper texture I used a displacement map using a picture of a gravel path. For paint I used a gold paint, followed by a coating of dry rust and then some spatters of mossy green.

Andrew Work
Gift

A crew gift for the 2024 holiday season, I modelled and printed a color model of Andrew, the main character from our show, It's Andrew!

I made a limited run of about 9 of these.

MicroKorg Desktop Mod

This was my very first synth, bought in Fall of 2004. I've had it kicking around my studios for 20 years and decided that the main reason I don't use it is because it takes up too much room for a keybed I don't use. Enter a dremel and an idea.

TNG Phaser

I'm still working on this one, my goal is to make "the ultimate" phaser. I've got some Arduino programming under my belt now so I should be able to start prototyping. The rubber insets are printed in TPU to give a bit of a grippy feeling, one will be removable to access the reset button/power button. This was originally a model I found online and hollowed out, but I think it's best to remodel from scratch to make it a proper shell and less dense.

Spice Rack

After redoing our kitchen last summer, I wanted to lean into the 70s style and came up with this spice rack. It ended up being a little tight when all the jars are in. I forgot to account for the thickness of the lids so they're basically just touching. If I were to do a version 2, I'd size the model I have up by 1-2%.
